Rainham CC – All Stars Programme 2019

For the third year in succession we will be taking part in the All Stars Cricket programme, which is aimed at 5 to 8 year olds. We’ll have a new Activator this year, in Lizzie Pattison, who will be leading most of the sessions. The first session will commence on Monday 20th May and will continue for 8 consecutive weeks until 8th July and as an addition we will be adding an extra family fun day, aimed at the All Stars and their parents on Sunday 14th July, which is the day of the cricket World Cup final.

Even at this early stage we have 7 All Stars signed up to take part in the programme, which is much healthier than we had at this stage last year. Please let any family and friends know about our All Stars programme, which has been a great success over the last couple of years. The programme costs £40 which includes the 8 coaching sessions, a personalised All Stars tee-shirt, ruck-sack, bat, ball and cap and the website to register is as per the attached link https://allstarscricket.co.uk/rainhamcc

Rainham Cricket Club – Coop Community Fund

Rainham CC have been successful in applying for funding from the Co-op Community Fund and the way it works is as follows:

Go to the Co-op website coop.co.uk/membership to apply for Co-op membership, which will cost £1.

Then selcet a cause you wish for 1% of everything you spend with the Co-op whether it be at a supermarket, insurance, legal services, elctrical or any other service they provide. The Rainham CC cause is via the following weblink https://membership.coop.co.uk/causes/22244

It will take a week before your membership card arrives. Once it arrives present it after you have spent with the Co-op and then 1% of what you spend will go towards the cricket club and our effort to extend the existing outdoor nets.

Our local supermarket Co-ops are in Elm Park, Hornchurch and Upminster and probably places near where you work.

There are also benefits of being a Co-op member such 5% going back into your membership account and potential share in Co-op’s profits.

Rainham CC – 90s Night – Saturday 21st July 2018

It’s time to make an effort and dress 90s style at Rainham CC’s next social night.

Scour those charity shops or look through Pete Reynolds wardrobe to find some 90s gear: The decade where ‘Brit Pop’ ‘Boy Bands’ and ‘Girl  Power’ were at their height, the ‘Macarena’ was the dance craze, ‘Marathons’ became ‘Snickers’, the England football team had one of their most successful decades ever, England were shocking at Cricket and Maggie Thatcher was finally ousted as Prime Minister.

If this is anything like as enjoyable as the 70s and 80s nights, then it will be a great night.

Bring along family and friends and dress up 90s style where a prize will be on offer to the best dressed.

Rainham CC – World Cup Karaoke and Kebab Night 16th June 2018

Please bring along your family and friends for our World Cup Karaoke night down the club from 8pm on Saturday 16th June with Kebabs supplied by club sponsor Village Kebab House.

Village Kebab House, Rainham

Order you kebabs on the night which will be either Lamb doner or chicken shish wrap, as the social committee will take the order and arrange delivery to the clubhouse.

Also wear you club or country colours as a Karakoe sing off will take place.

Croatia v Nigeria is the big game on the TV, so a bar voucher for the best dressed who comes supporting either of these teams (Jono stands an excellent chance of winning as he turned up on the Indian night in classic Nigerian dress!) .

It sounds like bedlam and probably will be, so come along and enjoy a good night at Rainham Cricket Club
